Philadelphia Louge Sparkles With Custom Details, Devotion to Drinks

For two years, Philadelphia restaurateur Dia Sawan labored of plans to build Vango Lounge & Skybar, hoping to create something truley unique. His vision was realized in November when the 8,000-square-foot nightclub and restraurant opened near Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square. The venue's eye-catching vodka wall has more than 200 carved-out spaces, each filled with an illuminated vodka bottle. Crushed velvet-covered walls inlaid with mini lights and a large fiber-optic chandelier also add to the atmosphere. Vango Lounge & Skybar have a varied beverage program, offering bottle service ($200 to $250 for a 750-ml. bottle of vodka; $100 to $300 for Champagne), specialty drinks ($10 to $12), wines by the glass ($8 to $12), bottles beer ($5 to $6) and sake ($20 to $40 a 720-ml. bottle). The venue also serves Japenese Continental cuisine (sushi rolls are $5 to $15; entrees range from $17 to $36) and regularly host local Philly DJs to keep the dance floor full.
