Vango Lounge and Skybar offers the City of Brotherly Love a swanky Ladies' Night. Every Tuesday, ladies get in free all night and are treated to $3 martinis and $5 Absolut cocktails. As promising as that is, it's Vango itself that's the main
attraction. Set on Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Row, there's 8,000 square feet to enjoy.
Founder and owner Diaa Sawan already
owned Byblos, the hip Mediterranean eatery located just below Vango. With Vango, he wanted to make his dreams of the perfect
club come true. The walls are lined with crushed velvet, inlaid with tiny white lights. There are dramatic archways and
alcoves with custom made couches.
On the upstairs deck, there are private rooms, a fireplace, and king size beds. A "Wall
Vase" reveals more than 200 rose blooms every night. Says Sawan, "We have to water them behind the wall."
The piece de resistance would have to be the chandelier. It's a one-of-a-kind fiber-optic masterpiece designed in Germany
and made in the United Kingdom.
And then there's Ladies' Night.
